You probably all heard about Brexit – UK leaving EU which made many people disappointed about the result.
On one side was the current British Prime Minister David Cameron who was in favor of staying a member of EU on the other side was Nigel Farage member of EU Parliament in favor of leaving EU.
The voting took place on 23th of June and result was 52% of people voting for UK to leave EU. Some people were so disappointed by the result they started signing online petition for another Brexit referendum.
They collected a few million of online signatures from “different” people supporting another Brexit however British Parliament later discovered most of this online signatures were fake.
They originated from countries and areas with no or very little population. More than 2.000 of this signatures even came from China and Hong Kong.
We would suggest UK Parliament to use our Warden software to better control the online pools and prevent online frauds like this happening again.
What was Brexit all about?
Since the WW2, major EU countries tried to form an union – first it was based on steel industry having removed the taxes and tariffs between France, Germany, UK and a few other countries. Later it developed in political union with headquarter in Bruxells in Belgium. Countries joined EU one by one, last one were countries from Eastern Europe after Communism collapsed there.
For some time it all went well. The major breaking point was 2008 crisis and invasion of Muslim refugees to Europe. EU works like this:
all member states who accept EURO must meet Maastricht criteria – keep inflation and public debt under control
countries whose GDP is below EU average receive money from EU for various project helping to improve peoples lifes, countries above this average pay for the money – Germany pays the most as one of the most developed countries in EU – that’s why Germans want to have control over all decisions in EU and here is where the trouble begins – breaking point
all laws and policy decisions are made in Bruxells – center of EU, this decisions are above local country parliament decisions – another breaking point
Why UK left EU? There are several reasons:
they can not control the policies anymore – policies in regards to trade with outside countries like China, product specifications, import tariffs
they can not control who comes to UK since anybody living in EU can live and work in UK without any limitation. British think they are taking their jobs and lowering their salaries and living standard. - because they can not stop immigration of Muslim from Middle East, this decisions are controlled by Germans in Bruxells
Switzerland and Norway who are not part of EU and do not have EURO currency have higher living standard than UK, they are Europe richest countries
The German control over EU and EURO money is causing poverty in most southern EU countries like Greece – Germany gave them loans to finance their public debt but this loans they can never repay. This was another reason why UK left – many of their money went to Greece but it will never be repaid.
After the Brexit many other EU countries also said they will have similar referendum – France, Netherlands, Slovakia, now they all want to leave EU. UK will now negotiate new agreements with EU after leaving.
If other countries leave EU it will fall apart. Which is for the best. Local governments will take back control over their own laws and trade agreements. They will be able to print their own money and control the economy by themselves.
This way it will be easier to control the crisis and not all EURO currency countries will be affected if another crisis happens again. Countries will take control over their own destiny instead of Euro government in Bruxells which is never elected by the people.
